ExperCARE in Richmond Hill is redefining healthcare accessibility with the launch of their new On-Demand Healthcare model. This initiative is being led by ExperCARE’s Founder and CEO, Catherine Grant, in collaboration with renowned local pediatrician, Dr. Keith Seibert, who joined ExperCARE this summer. The model is designed to address both reactive and proactive healthcare needs, and while piloting it here, the team plans to expand it into all of their Georgia locations.

So, what does On-Demand Care mean for the community?

Catherine Grant explains, “On-Demand Primary Care takes the best of urgent care—convenient access seven days a week—and combines it with preventative and holistic healthcare–well checks and annual needs–and we offer it all under one roof. We’re focused on removing the issues found in typical medical practices by being able to address immediate needs, but also ensuring long-term wellness.”

Dr. Seibert, who has been a trusted name in pediatric care in the community for years, adds, “Access is a critical element that we want to address. By providing patients with timely and convenient care, we aim to meet their needs more effectively and prevent minor issues from becoming major health concerns.”

“You should not have to wait two months for an appointment to see your primary care provider,” he adds. “People want treatment when they’re sick, urgent care facilitates that need, but leaves their records potentially scattered between multiple practices, with no one chart truly documenting the patient’s health journey.” ExperCARE’s new approach aims to bridge the gap by being able to care for their patients when they need attention quickly or on-demand, and when they aren’t sick, but just checking in on their health and wellness in the preventative aspect.

“Think about this scenario,” Grant goes on to explain, “You are experiencing sharp stomach pain, so you visit an urgent care facility in Statesboro. They treat your symptoms and send you on your way. You do not feel well the following week, and the pain is similar so you visit the only place you could get in quickly that day… they treat you and send you on your way. You make an appointment with your Primary Care Physician the next month, and try to explain what those stomach episodes felt like. You can’t remember everything you told the attending provider about what you had eaten, drank, or what activities you did that day, all you remember is where it hurt. Your primary care provider is left piecing together health records to try and make the best medical decision for you. What if we could lessen the margin of error by having all of that context in one place, therefore truly understanding the whole picture of your health? This is what ExperCARE’s On-Demand Care program will do!”

Grant says she has been working for some time to build a multidisciplinary team of providers at ExperCare to reinforce the benefits of the team approach. Dr. Mazur, Dr. Carson, Dr. Adoph, and Dr. McGee are a few of the names filling the roster of nearly 20 advanced practice providers at ExperCARE. “Patients will be cared for by a member of the same team. They will be able to read your history, in your medical chart, no matter which one of our locations you visit, and not matter if you are coming for an acute, episodic visit or for a preventative wellness check up,” she explains.

The two went on to fill our team in on what Dr. Seibert’s former patients can expect with his new role at ExperCARE. He says he is humbled by the following and so excited to have an entire team behind him that knows, understands, and will be reinforcing his approach to pediatric care. “Patients will now have access to an entire team of care, they will not have to wait for an appointment with me if they are ill. They will be able to be seen right when they need to be, and I will be able to follow along and know exactly what is going on if I am not the one treating them that day.” The days of the lonely visit to an urgent care that doesn’t know your child’s history are over for Dr. Seibert’s patients. They will have access to their own team of providers, who are committed to their accessibility to care. “Instead of saying Dr. Seibert is my child’s primary care provider, I want them to say ExperCARE is my child’s primary provider and to trust that I am behind the team and their care every single day,” he affirms.

And, when it comes to those who have outgrown pediatric care, it is the same concept. “We are committed to treating patients of all ages, seven days a week, with extended hours to ensure everyone has access to care when they need it. The approach combines functional health with accessibility and convenience, something we believe the community has been missing,” adds Grant.

With this new service, ExperCARE is poised to offer a more holistic approach to healthcare, ensuring that patients in Richmond Hill and beyond have access to the care they need, whenever they need it.
